I just wanted to say thank-you to everyone who commented on my last journal! I was feeling pretty down and just felt like venting, I didn't expect such a reaction! You guys really brightened me up, and I think I'm ready to start working on stuff again~ I've been sorting through my cosplay plans like crazy, and I think I finally came up with a plan that makes me happy but at the same time won't overwhelm me again. It made me sad to put some things off, but I know I'd much rather do them when I have the time.
I narrowed down my cons as well, after Kumoricon my only plans are ALA and Fanime. There's definitely some cons that I want to go to, like AX, Katsucon, and Youmacon. I'm sure I'll go to them some day, Youmacon is a possibility for 2013 but we'll have to wait and see!
As for costumes, I do have some new ones that I'll still be making, but I've cut them down quite a bit. For Kumoricon I'm making:
Rapunzel, with my friend as Flynn. A bunch of sailor senshi uniforms, and a special Pabu kigurumi so I can parade around with all the Korra cosplayers!
Once Kumoricon is over I'll get to work on Miss Martian (season 2 ver.) for ALA! I'm also tempted to make Madoka's (from Rinne no Lagrange) flight suit, but if I don't have time I'll just stick with her sweats and swimsuit since I might not have to make those.
For Fanime I'm planning a big lady Avengers group (same outfits, just opposite genders), and Gokai Yellow from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger! I originally was also going to attempt Thumbelina's Beetle Ball gown, but I don't think I'm going to have time during the school year..so alas my dream costume will have to wait a little longer!
Keep in mind all the costumes I've listed are just the big ones that I'll be making from scratch, there's still other costumes that I'll be re-wearing/buying.
